Flaming 8lb pork tenderloin: yes, that’s how I roll

Sara and I had a few friends over for a BBQ. I tried out my fifth release candidate of “Will’s awesome brown-sugar dry rub”.

Sugar and olive oil and fire = flames. Usually a few flames are okay, but things really started to heat up.

We had to airlift the meat to safety.

Yes, that’s a pillar of smoke. The fire department came.

Just kidding, it wasn’t that bad. The tenderloin survived the raging inferno and was gone in about 30 minutes.
